'Tis the fall season and that can mean one very important thing: it's time to run to the polls!

Why?

Inheritance and responsibility.

I think one of the most amazing things about the idea of voting is the pure concept that we GET TO VOTE. There are dozens of countries around the world where residents to not have the right to vote. Our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents and even relatives further back took part in fighting for this civil right. They earned the right; we inherited it.

It is our responsibility as residents of this country, state, district, county, town and/or community to review not only the potential elected officials, but also all the issues that will be on the ballot. We must take the initiative to review all of the pieces to be informed voters.

With only half of our nation utilizing this inheritance we need to encourage everyone to be responsible and get out and vote!
